The FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association and LifeLock®,present a one day summit on Identify Theft, its economic, personal and employment impacts. Identity theft investigations can be complex and challenge all law enforcement to share information to protect their communities and reduce victimization to their citizens. This one day event will be hosted by FBI-LEEDA along with the St. Louis County And Municipal Policy Academy.
This will be an interactive summit with attendees actively encouraged to contribute their experiences and strategies in identity theft investigations, sharing both investigative barriers as well as success stories. The Summit will address a range of identity theft issues to include:
- Relevant Identity Theft Laws
- High Technology Identity Theft
- Identity Theft Awareness and Protection Strategies
- Databases To Assist In Identity Theft Investigations

KEY NOTE SPEAKER: Senior Investigator Justin Feffer
Justin Feffer has been a sworn law enforcement officer in Southern California since 1988, and a California attorney since 1994. He was the founding Senior Investigator of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Team where he investigated high technology crimes including identity theft. For the last five years, Justin has been assigned to the Los Angeles Electronic Crimes Task Force, a joint federal and state task force. He is a graduate of information technology crimes investigation programs conducted by the SANS Institute, Carnegie Melon’s CERT-CC, FBI, and the California Department of Justice.
